Mahmoud Farshchian is a contemporary master artist trained in the great Persian tradition. Ten of his paintings gathered in this album, amazingly blend the real and imaginary in a unique style. On account of their extraordinary draftsmanship, their wide coloristic range and innate sense of the decorative aspects, the drawings and paintings of Mahmoud Farshchian are in the true tradition of the great Iranian painters.
Mahmoud Farshchian, who was the National Art Specialist of Iran, served as the Director of department of national Arts in the Iranian Ministry of Culture and Arts and was a Professor at the College of Fine arts of University of Tehran. He is a member of Accademia Europa and Accademia Italia Delle Arti e del Lavoro.
The artist participated in eighty-three group and fifty-four one-man exhibitions from 1948 to 1994. He has achieved worldwide acclaim for his outstanding artistic accomplishments. His paintings were exhibited in:
Algiers, Beijin, Chicago, Istanbul, Isfahan, Forence, Karachi, Kiev, Lahore, Milan, Munich, New York, Paris, Rawalpindi, Rome, Salt Lake City, Shanghai, Tehran, Vienna, Washington, D.C.
